FAQs
How is counselling helpful?
Counselling offers a safe space for individuals to express feelings and gain clarity on challenges. It enhances emotional well-being and fosters healthier relationships, supporting personal growth and resilience.
How many sessions do I have to commit to? And how often?
Each person differs in their needs, but in general it often takes multiple sessions to be helpful. Depending on individuals needs and wants we will work together to obtain the best outcome for you. There is no obligation to book a minimum number of sessions, and they can be scheduled at an interval is appropriate for you.
What if I want to talk about something new?
The sessions are guided by you and what your needs are at that moment. Some people will enter counselling with a specific goal in mind, and at some point realize or come across something new that they need to discuss.
What if I don't want to talk about something? Do I have to?
This will be a safe environment, you will not be forced to talk about anything that you are not comfortable with or ready to discuss.
Will my benefits cover the cost of the sessions?
Each benefit provider differs in the coverage they provide. If you are unsure, reach out to your provider. I don't provide direct billing to insurance providers, but will provide receipts for each session for you to submit to them.
What's the cancellation policy?
24 hours notice is required to cancel a session with a full refund. If it is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, the session will be billed at the normal rate.
